LOCATION:

The charming nearby village of Barx is within walking distance, providing all the essentials for daily living such as a pharmacy, doctors surgery, dentist, 2 bakers, 3 butchers, newsagent, infants school, bars and restaurants, plus 2 small supermarkets that are well stocked and a small weekly market.  There are many local fiestas in Barx and La Drova all year round. There are great cycling and hiking routes to enjoy on the doorstep.

Its only 15 minutes’ drive to ‘’La Galiana’’ golf course one of the prettiest in Europe!

We are lucky as this area is served by 2 international schools, The British School near Alzira (15 min drive away) and ´The British School, Gandia which are equidistant from this property.  There are also private bilingual English /Spanish schools following the Spanish curriculum which are within 15 mins drive, and good local Spanish schools too with school buses that run from the village to the senior schools in Gandia.

Casa Leonora is only a 10 min drive to Gandia Historic city (or there are buses that can take you to the city and back again twice a day).  Gandia has many shops and supermarkets, bars and top-quality restaurants. A must: visit the old Borgia Palace, the Culture Centre that has many live music events and the Theatre. Saturday is Market Day. 

There is a small golf course by Grau de Gandia. 2 out of town shopping malls a 10/15 min drive away with big named stores such as Zara, Zara Home, H & M, Casa, Leroy Merlin, Kiwoko, JKYSK, Decathalon, Carrefour, Media Markt, with many more bars and restaurants etc. 

This property is served by 2 international airports, Alicante being 1.15 mins drive away and Valencia airport being about a 50 min drive away.  You can catch a train from Gandia city into the heart of Valencia (45 min train journey approx.), then outside the train station get on the metro straight into the Valencia airport terminal, so great transport links. 

Playa De Gandia (Beach area) is a blue flagged 12 km long sandy beach (likened to Florida beaches), with shops and restaurants that run along the promenade, there is a lively evening street market in the summer season and boasts a harbour and marina. 

20 min drive takes you to Oliva town and Playa/beach area, Oliva Castle and large Friday Market. The Oliva Nova Golf course is nearby, designed by Seve Ballesteros, Go Karting, Horse riding, sailing, and kite surfing are all available in the area.
