On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2026, Gandia is joining in the celebrations for World Tourism Day, with a programme combining activities on the beach, family entertainment, local traditions and special offers at some of the city's cultural and historic attractions.

The celebrations begin on Saturday morning at Gandia Beach, with Latin Fitness at 9.00am as part of Esports a la Mar.
So, if you fancy starting your weekend with some exercise beside the Mediterranean, this could be the perfect way to do it!
Then on Sunday 27th September at 9.00am, there will be a yoga session at the beach, followed later in the afternoon by Jocs a la Mar at 5.30pm – another opportunity to enjoy activities beside the Mediterranean.
There is something rather special about being able to enjoy outdoor activities with the sea and golden sands as your backdrop!
👨👩👧👦 FAMILY FUN IN THE HISTORIC CENTRE
Gandia isn't just about the beach.
On Saturday at 10.00am, families can take part in the Gimcana Familiar Borgiana, starting from Plaça de les Escoles Pies and taking participants around Gandia's historic centre.
It's a fun way to discover more about the city while exploring some of its fascinating history.
And at 12.00 noon, the Tio de la Porra will make an appearance with a general rehearsal beginning at Plaça Major before travelling through the streets of the city.
The Tio de la Porra is one of Gandia's much-loved traditional characters and is closely associated with the city's Fira i Festes, which takes place shortly afterwards.

World Tourism Day is also a great excuse to discover some of the historic and cultural attractions that you may have driven past many times without actually visiting.

Both the Museu Santa Clara and MAGa will be offering free admission throughout the weekend.

As if all that wasn't enough, 25th and 26th September also see Botigues al carrer in Gandia's historic centre, with local shops taking their products out onto the streets and offering special promotions and discounts, with some reductions reaching more than 50%.
